幼保英語検定とは
幼児教育・保育英語検定協会（幼保英語検定協会）
幼児教育、保育環境の国際的なグローバル化に対応できる幼稚園教諭及び保育士等幼児教育者養成の一環として、全国の幼稚園・保育園並びに幼稚園教諭・保育士養成学科を有する大学・短大及び専門学校と連携・協力して、幼保英語検定の実施を通し必要な実用的な英語の習得及び向上に資するため、英語の能力を判定し、またさまざまな活躍の機会を拡げその能力を養成することにより、日本の幼児教育、保育現場の向上に寄与することを目的とします。
また、諸外国における乳幼児教育分野の研究成果等を日本に紹介し、乳幼児教育分野の発展に寄与する活動にも積極的に取り組むことを目的とします。
幼児教育・保育英語検定（幼保英語検定）特色
幼保英語検定は、幼稚園、こども園及び保育園等幼児教育施設において、英語でのコミュニケーション力の習得状況を知り、さらに向上させる機会となります。
乳幼児との会話、園内の教育・保育に焦点をあて、現場に即した実用的な英語を習得できることが大きな特色です。
園内教育・保育及び保護者との日常会話から連絡・交流に必要な題材まで、受検者の学習を考慮した工夫された内容になっており、楽しみながら知識を深められる構成となっています。「入門レベル」から責任者として活躍できる「専門レベル」までの5段階で構成されており、英語力の伸びを実感できるだけではなく、資格を取得すると、幼児教育、保育分野で幅広く活用でき、幼児教育、保育環境の国際的なグローバル化に対応できる実用的な英語の取得です。
About Youho Eigo Kentei
Youho Eigo Kentei (Test of English for Early Childhood Educators) is designed for early childhood educators based on the daily routines and annual curriculum of Japanese preschools and kindergartens.
This test is administered by Youho Eigo Kentei Kyokai (Organization of English for Early Childhood Educators). The test gives test takers a guideline to increase their language and comprehension levels, of both Japanese and English, by focusing on early childhood education and by assessing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. We work closely with over 200 universities, colleges, technical schools, and high schools in Japan that have early childhood education departments. We also work with universities and Japanese schools overseas for non-native Japanese speakers who want to improve their professional skills. The test certificate shows that the person designated possesses the English proficiency level of the grade in which he or she has been certified.
